The Swing Dress

Dress - Kattie Swing Dress from Missguided
Boots - Chunky Heeled Lace Up from Mr Shoes
Handbag - Primark (haul featured here)
Bowler Hat - H&M

As soon as this dress arrived on my doorstep I knew that one day I would feature it in an outfit post. Now, I've never written an outfit post on any of my blogs, for a few reasons; 1. I had no one to take the photographs, 2. I've never loved having my photo taken and 3. I wasn't happy with my body! So joining forces with my sister now means that we can take each others photographs and a few life changes have meant I have a new lease of life and a lot more confidence (go me!). I finally feel like I look right in what I wear and I've started to take a lot more risks with outfit choices as opposed to living in leggings (we've all been there).

So when the sun finally decided to come out a few weeks back, I started to panic. All of my 'summery' clothes are tiny shorts and tops which I would only wear on holiday abroad (for some reason it is more acceptable right?!) so I had a little browse on Missguided and found this gem. I was wary of looking like I was wearing a tent, as you can see in the bottom picture the dress is very loose fitting from the bust down. To my suprise I found this dress the perfect fit, the thin straps mean I don't get dodgy tan lines and the scoop neck and fitted bust make it really flattering, not to mention the to-die-for floral print.

I paired it with my chunky black boots from Mr Shoes, complete dupes for the Topshop and Office ones but only £30 and surprisingly comfy and easy to walk in. I have become accustomed to wearing shoes with a slight heel all the time, I feel ten times better when I'm that little bit above my normal 5'2.

So what do you think?
